- Are a beginner or near beginner in Japanese and need practical spoken communication rather than classroom focused study
- Want Japanese that helps with daily tasks and interactions, not short term tourism
- Need language for real situations you are likely to face when settling into life in Japan
No prior knowledge of Japanese is required.

- Introduce yourself and exchange basic personal information

This course prioritises functional independence, not fluency or academic Japanese.
Entry Level
This course is designed for beginner learners with limited to no prior exposure to Japanese.
A short assessment may be recommended to ensure appropriate placement.
Assessment & Certification
Learners who complete the course may take a short post-course assessment.
Based on performance, a CEFR-aligned certificate can be issued to reflect the learner’s demonstrated level at the end of the course.
Outcomes & Next Steps
By the end of the course, learners typically:
- Feel more confident handling everyday life in Japan without relying on English
- Can manage common settlement situations (introductions, routines, housing, food, getting around)
