Vietnamese for Relationship Building with Suppliers

This small-group course is designed for professionals in Singapore who work with Vietnamese suppliers or partners and need to build effective working relationships.

The focus is on spoken Vietnamese used to establish rapport, manage interaction politely, and communicate with social awareness in real business contexts.

• Work with Vietnamese suppliers, vendors, or team members in roles where tone and social awareness affect ongoing coordination
• Are a beginner or near-beginner in Vietnamese and need practical spoken language rather than classroom knowledge
• Handle small talk and relationship-building conversation without creating misunderstanding or unintended offence
• Need Vietnamese for real conversations that support working relationships

• Greet suppliers and interact politely
• Introduce yourself and your role appropriately

The course focuses on language used in situations such as:

• First meetings and ongoing supplier interaction
• Polite conversation before and after work discussions
• Talking about schedules, availability, and timing
• Handling requests and follow-ups tactfully
• Maintaining rapport in ongoing supplier relationships

Course Structure & Delivery

• The course is 2 x 90 min sessions per week, for a total of 22.5 contact hours
• Live, instructor-led online classes
• Structured progression using CEFR-aligned materials

Entry Level

This course is designed for beginner learners with limited to no prior exposure to Vietnamese. A short assessment may be recommended to ensure appropriate placement.

Assessment & Certification

Learners who complete the course may take a short post-course assessment. Based on performance, a CEFR-aligned certificate can be issued to reflect the learner’s demonstrated level at the end of the course.

Outcomes & Next Steps

By the end of the course, learners typically:

• Communicate more naturally with Vietnamese suppliers
• Build better rapport through appropriate language use
• Rely less on English for relationship-level interaction

Learners who wish to continue can progress into private or other specialised courses based on their goals.

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be counted as attended, and no rescheduling or refund will be offered.
• In the case of only two learners enrolling, the course will be moved to a semi-private format of 20 academic hours.
