Vietnam has become one of Singapore’s most important regional partners. Many Singapore-based professionals now work closely with Vietnamese suppliers, colleagues, and partners across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and technology. Companies operating across these supply chains often also interact with partners in southern China and Hong Kong, where 粤语 is widely used.
Learning Vietnamese helps you:
communicate more easily with Vietnamese teams and partners
build stronger working relationships when collaborating across borders
travel around Vietnam with more confidence and independence
As Singapore–Vietnam economic ties continue to expand, Vietnamese language skills are becoming increasingly valuable.
Our Vietnamese courses are designed for learners in Singapore who work with Vietnamese businesses or travel regularly to Vietnam.
Typical learners include:
professionals working with Vietnamese suppliers, partners, or teams
entrepreneurs expanding business connections into Vietnam
executives managing projects or operations in Vietnam
individuals travelling frequently to Vietnam for work
Lessons focus on practical communication used in professional environments and everyday situations in Vietnam.
Vietnamese is spoken by more than 85 million people and is the official language of Vietnam.
The language is written using the Latin alphabet, but with additional accent marks that indicate both vowel quality and tone.
Vietnamese is a tonal language, with six tones in the standard northern dialect. Changes in tone can completely alter the meaning of a word.
Historically, Vietnamese was written using Chinese characters and a later script called Chữ Nôm, before the Latin-based writing system known as quốc ngữ became standard during the colonial period.
Our Vietnamese courses follow the internationally recognised Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), but we describe them in practical terms so you can easily find the right starting point.

If you are unsure about your CEFR level, we recommend taking a placement assessment to ensure you get the most from your Vietnamese language programme. The assessment fee can be deducted from your course cost.
