By the end of this 16-hour spoken Cantonese course, you will be fully equipped to:

1. Greet family members naturally and respectfully in various informal settings.
2. Introduce yourself and share basic background information easily.
3. Navigate simple, everyday conversations about daily life, work, and routines without hesitation.
4. Ask simple questions, request information, and respond appropriately.
5. Speak with genuine confidence during family discussions and relaxed gatherings.

We focus on practical applications so you can use your new skills immediately. Key situations covered include:

• Greeting relatives at family gatherings and festive dinners.
• Talking about family relationships and sharing personal updates.
• Discussing daily routines and weekend plans with parents or in-laws.
• Visiting family homes and navigating informal social occasions.
• Participating in simple, unstructured conversations with extended relatives.

• Format: 8 × 2-hour private, live online sessions (16 hours total).
• Progression: Step-by-step guidance from basic phrases to simple, flowing conversations.
• Practical Practice: Heavy emphasis on active speaking and engaging role-play activities customized for family interactions.
• Expert Guidance: Immediate feedback and guided corrections from your dedicated instructor.

Entry Level

This course is built for complete beginners or learners with very limited prior exposure to Cantonese. No extensive prior knowledge is required! We start with the absolute basics, covering essential phrases for everyday family interactions. If you have some basic knowledge, we can conduct a short assessment to ensure we start at the perfect level for you. You will feel supported every step of the way.

Assessment, Certification, and Next Steps

Learners wishing to track their progress can request a short practical assessment at the end of the program. A Certificate of Completion is provided based on your attendance and demonstrated communication skills.

Course Outcomes: After completing the course, you will notice a significant improvement in your family interactions. You will feel much more comfortable using Cantonese during informal gatherings, easily understanding common phrases, and participating naturally in family conversations while relying far less on English.

Graduates can seamlessly continue their language journey by transitioning into our 1:1 Cantonese course.
