Mandarin is one of Singapore’s official languages and widely used in business, education, and everyday communication.
Learning Mandarin can help you:
communicate comfortably with Mandarin-speaking colleagues and clients
participate more confidently in social and professional conversations
build stronger relationships in Chinese-speaking business environments
engage with Chinese media, literature, and culture
Mandarin also connects Singapore to one of the largest linguistic and economic communities in the world.
Our Mandarin courses are designed for learners in Singapore who want to communicate confidently with Mandarin speakers in professional and everyday environments.
Typical learners include:
professionals working with Mandarin-speaking clients or colleagues
expats living in Singapore who want to integrate more easily into local environments
managers leading teams that include Mandarin-speaking staff
individuals who want to improve Mandarin for both social and professional situations
Lessons focus on practical communication used in everyday life and the workplace.
Mandarin Chinese is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and one of Singapore’s four official languages.
Mandarin uses Chinese characters rather than an alphabet. Learners often begin with pinyin, a romanised system that shows pronunciation using the Latin alphabet.
Mandarin is also a tonal language. The tone used when pronouncing a word can change its meaning. Standard Mandarin has four main tones.
Our Mandarin courses follow the internationally recognised Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), but we describe them in practical terms so you can easily find the right starting point.
