What You Will Learn

This course is built around four practical units, each targeting a core part of the international project professional's role:

• Unit 1 — Project Schedules and Update Meetings Describe project stages and timelines, give and request concise progress updates, distinguish completed actions from unfinished tasks using present perfect and past simple, clarify schedule and budget problems, question decisions diplomatically, and confirm responsibilities and next steps.
• Unit 2 — Change Implementation and Future Plans Explain why a project or organisational change is necessary, outline how it will be implemented, anticipate different stakeholder reactions, present both sides of an argument, and use future tenses and probability language to express plans, uncertainty, and likely outcomes with accuracy.
• Unit 3 — Risk Evaluation and Cross-Border Decision-Making Identify and describe different types of international project risk, assess the seriousness of each risk using precise language and adverbs of degree, weigh up risk against opportunity, participate in a decision-making meeting, and make a clear, evidence-based recommendation on whether to proceed.
• Unit 4 — Cross-Cultural Communication and Project Storytelling Discuss cultural expectations in international projects without resorting to generalisations, narrate a cross-cultural incident using narrative tenses, explain what caused a misunderstanding and what should change, report sensitive project news carefully, and tell a short project story that communicates a useful professional lesson.

Real-World Project Scenarios

Every unit is grounded in practical application so you can use your new language skills in the office immediately. Key situations covered include:

• Giving a project update when tasks are behind schedule and one decision needs to be challenged.
• Presenting an implementation briefing for a new system or process change and responding to stakeholder concerns.
• Taking part in a cross-border risk meeting to evaluate whether an international project should proceed, be delayed, or be rejected.
• Narrating a cross-cultural project incident, explaining the cause of the misunderstanding, and recommending a practical improvement.
• Reporting incomplete or sensitive project news clearly and without unnecessary speculation.

Course Structure & Delivery

• Format: 8 × 2-hour private, live online sessions (16 hours total).
• Progression: Step-by-step skill building, moving from project schedule management and update meetings through to cross-cultural incident communication and business storytelling.
• Practical Practice: Heavy emphasis on active role-play and scenario-based training customized for your situation.
• Expert Guidance: Immediate feedback and guided, live corrections from your dedicated instructor to refine your approach.

Entry Level

This course is designed for learners at a B2 CEFR level (upper-intermediate). Participants should already be able to communicate comfortably in everyday professional situations, follow extended discussions, and express opinions clearly.

Assessment, Certification, and Next Steps

Learners wishing to track their progress can request a short practical assessment at the end of the program. A Certificate of Completion is provided based on your attendance and demonstrated communication skills.

Course Outcomes

After completing the course, you will notice a meaningful shift in how you participate in international project work. You will not simply speak English better; you will communicate with greater precision, handle pressure situations more calmly, and contribute more credibly in the meetings and briefings that move projects forward.
