What You Will Learn

Foundations (A1.1)

• Introduce yourself and exchange greetings to make strong first impressions.
• Talk about your name, nationality, and age.
• Ask and answer simple yes/no questions to keep conversations flowing naturally.
• Use basic time expressions and make simple appointments.
• Read and write basic Chinese characters used in introductions and simple personal information.

Elementary (A1.2)

• Talk about your family and ask about others to build stronger personal connections.
• Discuss dates, schedules, and the weather.
• Ask for directions and understand location-based language to navigate your surroundings easily.
• Shop, ask about prices, and interact confidently in everyday transactions.
• Recognise and write common Chinese characters used in everyday contexts (e.g., time, directions, signs, shopping).

Real-World Professional Scenarios

We focus on practical applications so you can use your new skills immediately. Key situations covered include:

• Meeting people and introducing yourself confidently in professional or social settings.
• Making plans, arranging schedules, and discussing basic time expressions with colleagues.
• Asking for directions and navigating places during your daily commute or business trips.
• Ordering food, shopping, and asking about prices in everyday transactions.
• Talking about your family and daily life to build stronger personal connections at work.

Course Structure & Delivery

• Format: 15 × 90-minute small-group, live online sessions (22.5 hours total).
• Progression: Step-by-step guidance moving from absolute basics (A1.1) to elementary daily interactions (A1.2).
• Practical Practice: Heavy emphasis on conversation-focused lessons and real-world role-play.
• Expert Guidance: Immediate feedback and tailored, real-time corrections from your dedicated instructor to ensure you notice progress right from the start.

Entry Level

This course is built for absolute beginners. You need zero prior knowledge to join us. We build your communication skills from the ground up, covering essential vocabulary and practical phrases. To ensure you get the absolute most out of the program, we may conduct a short placement check if you have some prior experience to confirm we start at the perfect level for you. You will feel supported every step of the way.

Assessment, Certification, and Next Steps

Enjoy ongoing feedback from your instructor to ensure rapid and consistent improvement. Your progress is tracked through practical tasks and active participation, utilizing our comprehensive digital materials. A final exam and a CEFR-aligned certificate are included upon successful completion of the program to validate your new skills.

Course Outcomes: After completing the course, you will notice a significant improvement in your daily interactions. You will feel much more comfortable using Mandarin to handle simple conversations, easily understanding essential expressions, and participating in basic social and workplace exchanges without hesitation.
